We at GOGO Charters pride ourselves on transparent charter bus pricing—what you see on your bus rental quote is what you pay for your trip. That being said, how much your Boston motorcoach rental costs depends on a variety of factors: distance traveled, time of year, number of passengers, and the type of motorcoach, just to name a few. If you plan to extend your trip to a Boston suburb with a Needham bus rental, a Malden bus rental, or a charter bus in Arlington, Watertown, or Quincy, your price may increase slightly depending on how many miles that adds to your trip.
For the most accurate and all-inclusive price for your bus rental, call (617) 206-3898 to receive a free and personalized quote with no obligation to book. Our team is standing by 24/7 to help you hash out the details, so you’ll be road-ready in no time!
Boston is full of history, so it’s no wonder so many school groups pass through every year! Rent a shuttle bus with GOGO Charters, and your students can pass the time between stops at the Boston Tea Party Museum and the Museum of Science with their favorite movies playing on TV screens or by playing games over the onboard WiFi.
Touring one of the area’s prestigious universities? Whether you’re visiting Harvard, MIT, or a smaller local institution, a personalized bus rental can drop off your college hopefuls with plenty of time to reach their campus tours, advising appointments, or pre-orientation sessions. You can count on GOGO Charters to help you plan a successful campus tour of Boston's top colleges--whether you're staying in town or need a Newton bus rental to visit Andover Newton Seminary (or other local colleges!).
No matter what brings your school group to Boston, GOGO Charters will ensure your students, staff, and chaperones are well-cared-for while on the road. Rest assured that all drivers in our network are certified professionals with years of experience and that every motorcoach is rigorously inspected before each trip.
Planning a conference, networking event, or company get-together in Boston? You already have enough to coordinate, so let GOGO Charters take “reliable transportation” off your list. We specialize in custom routes and schedules throughout Boston and all major cities, so our team can easily coordinate a conference shuttle bus rental service to anywhere your guests and attendees need to be.
Your professional bus driver will aim to be at every stop at least 10 minutes early to ensure your event runs right on time. And with a reliable ride to every workshop, mixer, or company party, everyone can focus on your event—not how they’re going to get there or where they need to park. Even better, when you rent a shuttle bus, you can set up your VIPs for success by requesting onboard WiFi so they can review their presentations or plush, reclining seating so they can relax after a long day of networking.
Very few cities can claim an award-winning sports team for every major American league—but Boston can! Sports are a huge part of Bostonian culture, which is apparent by all the opportunities for sports fans to get together in the city.
Whether it’s a big tailgate with your New England Patriots fan group or reliable rides for your little league team all season long, you can trust GOGO Charters to keep your group moving on game day. Request a charter bus with plenty of storage space for duffel bags, rackets, safety equipment, and coolers, and your athletes, coaching staff, or fans can relax and stretch before game time.
Coordinating to rent a shuttle bus for your local office commute? Planning multiple sightseeing tours throughout the summer? Need a reliable ride for your congregation between the parking lot and your place of worship? Beyond one-off trips in or out of Boston, the GOGO Charters team can also accommodate ongoing travel contracts for whatever long-term transportation you may need.
Call (617) 206-3898 to get in touch with our long-term reservation team, and we’ll work with you to keep your passengers moving for the long haul—all on a contract that fits your budget, scheduling needs, and desired route plans.
With gorgeous red brick venues, historic architecture, and tons of gardens and green spaces, Boston is a beautiful place to get married. And if you’re planning a dream wedding in this charming city, the last thing you (or your guests!) will want to worry about on your big day is someone running late or getting lost.
That’s where GOGO Charters comes in. Let us provide a seamless Boston wedding shuttle service between your hotel, the ceremony, the reception, and any bachelor(ette) parties you have in store. Your bus driver will be your DD for as long as you need them, so everyone can relax, kick up their heels in a reclining seat, and celebrate to their heart’s content! Keep your group in town or book a Brookline bus rental for easy shuttles to Alden Castle, a Somerville bus rental for a quick ride to La Brasa, or a charter bus in your suburb for efficient and stress-free wedding-day transportation.
If you’re in town to explore Boston’s history, one of the hardest parts of making your itinerary is knowing where to start. That’s why we spoke with Taunya Wolfe, the president of Wolfe Tours and Adventures, to get a local expert’s perspective on the city’s top sights.
Wolfe Tours has been providing sightseeing tours of Boston since 2002, but Taunya herself has been a local to the area since the late 90s—returning to the city after college and teaching overseas.
“I thought, ‘Well, I'll be here for a few years and see where things take me.’ But then Boston just kept me,” she admitted. “It's a city that feels like a town, if that makes sense. You've got the elegance, the history, and the hidden gems like the local shops and hidden walkways.”
One of her favorite places to take tour groups is the Beacon Hill neighborhood—one of the oldest districts in the city as well as the country.
“For first-time visitors, definitely check out the Black Heritage Trail,” she said. “It’s about one and a half miles through Beacon Hill, and you’ll pass by a lot of the historic homes.”
Boston’s Black Heritage Trail is a 1.6-mile route that winds through the largest collection of historic landmarks from a free, pre-Civil War Black community—all located on the northern end of Beacon Hill. The trail highlights 14 historic sites, including stations on the Underground Railroad, the oldest still-standing Black church in America, and more. In particular, Taunya recommends stopping by the Abel Smith School: the first public school in Boston for African American children.
For your group's next stop, Taunya recommends Acorn Street, a cobblestone walkway lined by row houses. In the early 1800s, many of the residents here worked in the houses of the posh and affluent Louisburg Square, just a half a block up. While Acorn Street is only a block long and home to private residence buildings, groups are free to walk around and take in the quaint brick architecture—just be respectful of the people who live there.
“One of the houses there on Acorn Street… if you look up about midway through, you'll see a set of mirrors that are positioned so if you're on the second floor, you can actually look out and see who's at your front door,” Taunya says. “Or you can watch who’s walking along the street, like who's holding hands with who and so on. It’s the perfect house for a busybody.”
Speaking of historic buildings, our next stop is Charles Street. It’s lined with local mainstay stores like cleaners, cosmetic stores, and a pizzeria. So why should your tour group pay this area a visit?
“If you're a local shop there, you have to stick with the historic, brick aesthetic of the neighborhood,” Taunya says. “So imagine a historic-looking 7-Eleven with a brick facade—it’s a sight to see, for sure”
She also notes that this street has a post office, and many visitors like to send a postcard back home from the old-fashioned storefront.
So, Taunya, any parting thoughts?
“If you’re in the Italian area of the North End, you have to get a cannoli!”
“I’m going against the grain here, but everybody coming through sees Mike's, right? You see the white box with the classic blue letters, and you know that’s where you can get a cannoli. They cater to visitors and tour groups, and the people there are great… But if you want something more local, I’ll do you one better.”
Instead, Taunya recommends stopping by a small futbol-themed cafe called Caffe Dello Sport for an authentic Italian espresso and a few pastries.
“It’s off the beaten path, so not a lot of groups walk through there,” Taunya says. “It's locally owned as well, and they do a great job when it comes to service. They’d really appreciate you coming in.”
If your group is interested in touring the city with Wolfe Tours, request a step-on tour guide for your charter bus rental, and an expert like Taunya will gladly tell you everything they know about Boston’s most historic places. 4-hour guided tours around town will likely cost $250 (plus your guide’s tip), while reserving a tour guide for 8-hour excursions to Cambridge, Lexington, or Concord generally cost $320 per guide, plus tip.
If you’re traveling with a history class or a group of sightseers, this 2.5-mile trail should definitely be on your Boston itinerary! This red line winds through Downtown, North End, and Bunker Hill and leads the way to the city’s oldest and most historically significant sites. Your group can see over a dozen monuments, venues, and houses dating back to 1660 along this trail, so we recommend setting aside 2 hours if you want to explore everything. The family-friendly Freedom Trail is also one of the best U.S. historic sites to visit with kids.
We also suggest bringing some good walking shoes, but don’t worry about it too much. When you rent a bus through GOGO Charters, your group will have a climate-controlled shuttle waiting for you at the end, ready to whisk you to your next destination while you kick up your feet and relax.
The Boston Marathon is one of the biggest events in the city—with a half-million spectators and 35,000 racers from across the globe participating every year. And since the Marathon is such a big deal, if you’re planning to watch, run, or provide sideline medical support, you’ll want to nail down your transportation plan sooner rather than later.
Rather than struggling to find parking or navigating road closures in multiple cars while the Marathon is underway, let a GOGO Charters shuttle bus rental consolidate everyone into one motorcoach. We’ll ensure your running club has plenty of room to stretch beforehand and crisp AC for their post-race cool down. From reliable rides to the starting line to long-term contracts for your medical support team, we’ll make sure your Boston Marathon experience runs smoothly.
Of course, not all of Boston’s appeal lies within city limits. As the major hub of New England, the city is a great starting point for day trips and excursions from Boston to amazing destinations throughout the Northeast. No matter where your travels take you, GOGO Charter’s nationwide network can accommodate groups big and small on any of these popular trips from Boston:
Planning a getaway to New York City? The trip between Boston and NYC takes a little less than 4 hours—and when you rent a charter bus with an onboard restroom and comfortable reclining seats, you probably won’t even need to make a pit stop.
Once you make it to the city, your group will have a reliable ride to every destination, so no one has to worry about hectic Manhattan traffic or learning the New York subway map. Instead, a pro driver can pick up and drop off everyone curbside near Broadway shows, conventions at the Jarvis Center, concerts in Madison Square Garden, or anywhere else on your NYC itinerary.
Both Boston and Philadelphia played important roles in the forming of the United States. So it makes sense to take your history classroom group of sightseers between the two! After a tour of Independence Hall and a selfie with the Liberty Bell, enjoy a picnic in Love Park or a stroll along historic Elfreth's Alley.
Philly is located a little over 5 hours away from Boston—and if you’re traveling with kids, this may seem like a long haul. But the hours are sure to fly by when you book a bus rental that offers TV screens and a DVD player for movie marathons and power outlets for recharging phones and laptops! With all the small comforts they’ll need right at their fingertips, your little passengers will forget to ask you “Are we there yet?” over and over.
Boston may have one of the oldest public transit systems in the country, but that doesn’t mean your employees should have to rely on it every day—especially when a stressful commute starts their workday off on the wrong foot.
Whether you want to coordinate local pick-ups at nearby T stations or park-and-ride lots or create a private shuttle bus rental service between your employees’ homes and your office, we’ll work with you. Our nationwide network of coaches includes models of all sizes, so your representative will have no problem pairing your company with the perfect ride to the office—all on a schedule and route plan that’s tailored to your business. With productivity boosters like WiFi and power outlets aboard your Boston corporate shuttle, your team can check emails, stream podcasts, recharge devices, and prepare for the day ahead from the comfort of a plush charter bus seat.
Sightseeing trips, family reunions, tours with your religious group—there are endless group outings your friends, family, or organization can take while in Boston. Whether you’re touring museums or spending time with your loved ones, getting everyone in and around a city as busy as Boston can be a hassle.
Rather than chipping in for multiple rideshares or asking your uncles to volunteer their personal vehicles for a carpool chain, keep everyone together and comfortable in a private bus rental! With everyone all in one vehicle, your passengers will arrive all at once and without having to stress about driving or navigating between stops. Plus, you’ll get to bond and relax on the road while watching movies with the onboard DVD player and TV screens, sharing memes over the free WiFi, and listening to music over the bus’s entertainment system—all available upon request.
We understand that emergencies can happen at any time. That’s why our team is available around the clock to assist you in the case of delayed or canceled flights in Boston. In most cases, we can have a bus right where you need it within a few hours, so no passengers get stranded at the gate.
We also know your passengers’ travels don’t begin and end at the terminal. That's why GOGO Charters airport transfer shuttles can provide seamless transport between terminals, hotels, and other destinations around the city. Most coaches in our network offer plenty of storage space to keep luggage out of the way, so aisleways are clear and uncluttered. Even better, passengers can stay connected with free WiFi and power outlets and comfortable with onboard restrooms and reclining seats.
Boston is big—in fact, it’s one of the 10 most sprawling cities in the U.S. And with over 20 neighborhoods to explore, the issue of taking it all in is less about finding something that piques your interest, and more about deciding where to start.
Not sure where to visit? Taunya Wolfe—the president of Wolfe Tours and a local Boston expert—knows some of the best spots in town! Here’s what she had to say about some of Boston’s most popular neighborhoods:
“Beacon Hill is in the middle of it all,” Taunya says. “You can get everywhere from there, even though it feels like you're in a little town away from everything. You're walking through cobblestone streets and brick row houses that take you back into time.”
As one of the oldest neighborhoods in the country, Beacon Hill is a must-see destination for history buffs. Stroll past cobblestone streets and brick buildings constructed in 1795, enjoy a picnic in the Boston Common (the nation’s oldest park), or tour the city’s most popular attractions like the Massachusetts State House, the Freedom Trail, and the Black Heritage Trail.
“You’ll want a very good map from the national park service, or you’ll want a great guide,” Taunya advises. “The streets are labeled quite well—it feels like it’s in a grid. But there are so many things in one place, so it's easy to get discombobulated and turned around in Beacon Hill.”
This high-end neighborhood is considered a shopper’s paradise–and for good reason. Window shoppers and boutique buyers love exploring the luxury brand storefronts scattered across the district. Store your shopping bags back on your charter bus rental and explore the elegant Victorian townhomes and historic sites to round out your day in Back Bay.
“Newbury Street is kind of like what Rodeo Drive is to the West Coast or what Fifth Avenue is to New York City,” Taunya says. “It’s neat to walk along there and look around the more expensive stuff. Tiffany, diamond stores, and the like are closer to the public garden and make great window-shopping opportunities”
This neighborhood offers plenty of destinations for art and culture enthusiasts—including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Boston Symphony Hall, and a community garden where visitors can stroll through residents’ plots and take in the greenery. And as the name might suggest, this district is also home to Fenway Park: MLB’s oldest ballpark and home to the Boston Red Sox.
“Fenway Park (and baseball in general) are the anchors of the neighborhood,” Taunya says. “But there are tons of great restaurants near the ballpark that are worth checking out.”
As for getting around the neighborhood, the expert offers one bit of advice:
“Avoid Fenway-Kenmore during game time,” Taunya says, “unless you’re going to a game, of course. That’s when thousands upon thousands of people are getting off at the Kenmore T station and walking across to the park—and that’s not a place your driver will want to be.”
Taunya also recommends that groups unload and get picked up on Ipswich Street, especially if they want to snap a photo with the Ted Williams statue and the world series flags on display outside the park.
History buffs will recognize this neighborhood as the home of the Old North Church, made famous by Paul Revere. But more than that, this district is chock full of Italian eateries, bakeries, delis, and cafes—enough to keep your foodies satisfied and your pasta aficionados coming back for more.
“You can’t help but have a memorable dining experience in the North End,” says Naomi Wheatley, a local Boston guide for Wolfe Tours. “Every block is packed with indoor and outdoor dining, small and large. To top off the meal with a stroll to a bakery, with a cannoli and a latte served at a round marble table while you listen to Frank Sinatra on the jukebox—it’s a perfect end to a great meal.”
Whenever you’re ready to simplify your group transportation in Boston, the GOGO Charters team will be here to help.
